I have no idea why he is still there. It's obvious there are chemistry problems in the locker room and I think he is a big part of it. I find it hard to bring back a coach who's main philosophy and teachings are discepline and they are one of the most undisceplined teams in football !!! There are (or were) many good coaching candidates out there to replace him at the end of the season. i heard tiki say on NFL total Acess that he has reached his goal and leaving at top 4 in career yards in Rushing hes been in the NFL for 10 years and now his new job is at NBC talk show and Radio host and he was proud be on the same field with his brother Ronde for 1 last time at the Pro Bowl

He should have been gone. I can't stand Coughlin......He threw Eli Manning under the bus the week or so after he criticized Tiki for doing something similar by speaking out on the coaching. .I knew it was really bad when Tiki spoke out a few months ago. Tiki is a class act guy so for him to say something its huge. I'll miss seeing him play but I know he will do well in his new job with NBC. He is very articulate and a good guy and the media needs more people like him.
Tiki isn't all that innocent. he has said bad things about alot of people. I don't like Coughlin either. he comes across as a pr9$%
There are alot of good young coordinators that could have been hired in Coughlin's place. However, alot had to do the with changes in the GM position. Perhaps the Giants do an about face like San Diego and let Coughlin go if there are some good canidates left.





I like Tiki. Smart, articulate, he will do well after football. However, lets not forget who taught Tiki not to fumble as much. That was Coughlin wasn't it?





Maybe Tiki needs to remember is roots. Alot of his sucess of the past few years goes to Couglin's help.

there may have been problems between coughlin and tiki...but tiki should show more class than to take a parting shot at his coach as he himself walked out the door...tiki should instead be thanking coughlin for what coughlin did for his career...if coughlin would have never come around tiki's name wouldn't even be in a hall of fame conversation...even though i dont think it should be there anyways. Coughlin is still the coach because he has done a good...not a great...but a good job with mediocre talent and getting them to overachieve on a yearly basis...the man can flat out coach...thats why he is still the coach
Barber keeps changing his story. Look, I'm a Giants fan, I'm a big Barber fan, he's done a lot for the team and he's a good person outside of the crap that comes out of his mouth every once in a while. That being said, he better quit while he's ahead before he alienates a lot of people. Coughlin is just as much in the wrong as Barber is in this case. Coughlin is still there because the team has not tuned him out. If they did, they never would've won that last game against the Redskins and they never would've came back against the Eagles in the playoff game.
I don't know why he is still there either. The only thing I don't understand is Tiki Barber announced his retirement long before it was decided that Coughlin would coach the Giants next year. In fact, I expected him to be fired after losing in the first round of the playoffs.
