Military barber?

how does someone become an army barber? is it a MOS? my friend wants to do that but i dont know what to tell them.Military barber?
Military barbers are civilians.Military barber?
Calling the base opperator should lead her in the direction of AAFEES management. At that point she'll be directed to a website or local office the application process can be established. Unlike most barbershops, barbers for military bases get a percentage of what they make instead of a rent flat rent fee for their booth. This can be good or bad depending on the business she plans on pulling in. Most military barbers (even the bad ones) stay bussy.
They are civilians, probably ex 82nd Airborne people who had clippers in the barracks, and had people dumb enough to let another crazy bastard cut his hair.

When I was in the 82nd we were smart enough to go across the street where the guy with the straight razor was depending on your tip. ;-)
Barbers for the military now a days are civilians. If she wants to be a barber for the armed services she'll have to apply through The Army and Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES). They run all the barber shops on military bases.
There are no military barbers..... at least not a military MOS.....while in the 82nd Airborne we had barber clippers in the platoon and gave each other haircuts..... but every military post I have ever been on had civilian barbers

IMJEZ.... I was in the 2/501 HQ Co (1959)....Div Hq(1974)..... and 82 Signal(1975-6).... and when we were in garrison I went to the post barber also......but we were not always in garrison yet had to always stay trim.... quit being a smart @ss leg
used to be..but now its all civilian...and they rent their spaces thru aafes so she could possibly do it..tell her to call them and ask
